Iraq is a country situated in Western Asia and encompasses the Mesopotamian alluvial plain and Syrian Desert in the western part. The country has two major rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates flow through the center of Iraq which were once considered as the biggest sources of water for the entire nation. Recently, the nation has been experiencing the shortage of water supply to its people. Because of the two rivers, the country once received 60 billion to 90 billion cubic meters of water but now this has dropped to less than 25 billion cubic meters in less than time of 40 years.
