Digital technology drives an organisation to achieve growth and success in competitive market world for longer period of time. This is the reason due to which every organisation invest huge amount of money to acquire digital technology within company so as to bring effectiveness in various business activities. It plays an important role for small business organisation in expansion to large scale operations. Digital technology brings convenience for management in managing and controlling all business functions in an appropriate manner. The present assignment is based on Continental Consulting Ltd. which is a research and business consultancy enterprise in London. The project includes the aims and objectives of an organisation behind implementation of digitalisation. Along with this, project management plan, breakdown structure, Gantt chart, small-scale research, uses of appropriate tools and techniques are also discussed under this report. In addition with this, a valid conclusion are made in order to identify the effectiveness of digital technology in an organisation (Basu, 2014).

Digital technology drives an organisation to achieve growth and expansion in competitive business world. Due to this, every organisations irrespective of their size whether small, medium or large, prepare a budget in order to upgrade their existing technology on regular basis. This will enable them to bring effectiveness in their business activities and help them in achieving expansion. Digital technology includes using online platform, social media, TV advertisement etc. which can help an organisation to grab attention of large number of targeted clients towards the products and services offered by them. Adoption of digital technology can supports Continental Consulting Ltd to achieve its aim and objectives within pre-determined time period which brings them ahead than their rivals. Therefore, investment in digitalisation brings maximum amount of return to company in near future thus every organisation are showing much interests to operate business functions using digital technology (Gambles, 2017).

Background of the Project:

Continental Consulting Ltd is a consultancy company helping other organisations in renovating or reconstructing their methods used in operating business functions in order to achieve better positive result. Their main business is to upgrade the infrastructure and other equipments that will bring effectiveness in business functions of their clients. The CEO of Continental Consulting Ltd. realised that the organisation can lose its competitive market position among their competitors and still the company are not giving too much efforts in upgrading existing technology used in business process. Their rivals also invest more in acquiring new ideas and methods in their business operations thus it is necessarily required for Continental Consultancy Ltd. to develop digital technology in their business operations so as to stable their market position. For example, to search clients which mostly are businesses, the management can use online platforms by giving advertisement on different websites so as to attract them towards buying their products and services (Geraldi and Lechter, 2012).

The main aim of company is to upgrade the business process through adopting digital technology such as mobile technology, E-commerce, social media platform etc. This will increase the capabilities of business to provide latest equipments to other businesses.

Project management plan is formal document which contains the information related with the resources used in execution of business activities in an effective and efficient manner. It explains the proper planning made regarding managing and monitoring activities performed in adoption of digital technology (Hwang and Ng, 2013). Quality: It is an important aspect which is the main factor to achieve huge customer base. Offering quality products strong the existence of an organisation in competitive market world for longer period of time. It leads success due to which the management need to focus on quality instead of prices so as to attract maximum number of customers. For this, it is important for the management of Continental Consultancy Ltd. To select accurate approach in order to bring beneficial result to the society as well. Such approaches are listed under the below:

During research, I observed that most of respondents are in favour of adoption of digitalisation. I used various research methods which includes research design, philosophy and many other which supports me a lot to fulfill the content of research. I acquire knowledge about the importance of research in making an effective decisions and plans for the profitability of company. Because of this, I briefly explained information using Gantt chart as well as many other beneficial software to draw a valid conclusion (Digital strategy and capabilities to win in a digitized world, 2017).
